Birthday and More Snow!

 

John, Amy, Joshua, Emma, Sophia, and Grace came for a visit! While they were here we had an early birthday party for Grace. Happy first birthday sweet girl.



 

 

 

 



Some of the crew went for a walk to the creek.

 

 

Yesterday it was sleeting when we were leaving church. Later in the afternoon it turned to snow.



We have 2-3 inches, no school today and we have electric power! Here are some pictures.

 

 

The birds or pigs as Granddaddy calls them continued to eat through the storm.

 

 



Snow and Spring

 

We have had the spring swing of weather over the last week. The big event was 8 inches of snow last Wednesday.



 

 

 

The electricity was out from mid-morning Wednesday until noon on Thursday. Grandmother's wasn't out as long as ours was. We all managed to stay warm and had plenty to eat and drink. We had working bathrooms after a small accident. Quite civilized I'd say!

 

 

Since the snow the weather has been warm and nice. Signs of spring are in the yard.

 



Joel's promotion

We all had a great time at Joel and Nancy's for Joel's promotion ceremony. Nancy's blog has pictures of the promotion. There was a lot of other action as well!

Some had a wrestling match.

Some played football.

Some bounced on the trampoline.

 

 

 

Some swung.

 

 

 

 

 

One person tried out Aunt Amy's heels.

 

 

 

Some danced.

 

 

Some played in the "castle".

 

 

Everyone had fun with cousins.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 











Everyone talked.

 

 

One person was a little suspicious.

 

 

 

 



Red Robin may never be the same.

And a good time was had by all!

January in Florida

We spent a long weekend with Beth, Zane Miranda and Isaac in January. It was great once we left Richmond. Our flight was cancelled for snow. After a few harrowing moments we arrived only a half a day late.


We had lots of fun. Late Christmas presents were opened.

 

We spent time at the park riding scooters.

 

 

 

Playing with toys at the park was a popular activity. I'm counting sticks as toys. IPhone too.

 

 

 

Of course we couldn't stay away from the beach!

 

 

 

We went to the mall, rode some rides and had a great lunch at Yoders.

 



 

December

 The first of December we went to one of Joshua's basketball practices. We also went to Joshua and Emma's chorus concert. I didn't get any pictures at the concert, but did get some before hand.
